I began teaching yoga after finishing undergrad and before law school (certified in 2012). I was a gymnast in my youth and competitive cheerleader in high school and college. I struggled with anxiety more and more in my early 20's and discovered yoga as the best way to heal my mind and body, which had many injuries from my athletic endeavors and a car accident at age 18.
My favorite class format combines meditation, yogic breathing, yin yoga, vinyasa flow, hot yoga techniques, and thai massage to give a well-rounded information-filled and eclectic class experience every time. My classes emphasize the relaxing mind/body healing properties of yoga while working to enhance form and core strength.
I encourage individuality and confidence in both dynamic and static movements to help students build a take-home practice with necessary modifications. I can tailor a class or consultation to any individual need (I combine styles but also can teach solely yin yoga, restorative yoga, hatha yoga, vinyasa flow, hot yoga, or meditation, and I am trained in Thai massage).
